Payment — the Documentary Credit
The Letter of Credit (L/C) is the safest bridge between you and the Egyptian factory: your bank pays only when shipping documents prove the cargo is on board.
For an importer, that means zero advance-payment risk. For the factory, a bank's guarantee instead of a stranger's promise. West Bekia stands between the two: we draft the proforma, align the L/C clauses with the production timeline, and pre-check every document against UCP 600 rules so the bank honors it on first presentation.
Contract & proforma
We sign a proforma invoice with the factory on your behalf — product, quantity, price, Incoterm and latest shipment date.
Your bank opens the L/C
You apply for a documentary credit at your bank; it travels by SWIFT to the advising bank in Egypt.
Production & shipment
The factory produces under our supervision, cargo is inspected and loaded at an Egyptian port within the L/C validity.
Documents to the bank
Bill of lading, certificate of origin, packing list, invoice & inspection certificate are presented — our team pre-checks every line.
Bank checks & pays
If documents comply, the issuing bank pays at sight (or at the agreed usance). You take the documents and clear your cargo.
